The great news is that the Church Halls are now open again and in use by the organisations. They are also available for new organisation lets. Perhaps St Luke’s is the ideal location for your organisation if you are looking for a new site. If so, please email Lizann Lang at firstname.lastname@example.org
However some rules do remain in place as follows:
You should not attend if you are unwell; showing symptoms of Covid-19; if you are isolating or living with someone who is isolating or who is unwell or you are in an extremely vulnerable category, ie extremely high risk
You do not require to book ahead if you wish to attend Sunday morning worship. However, it would be helpful to have your contact details in advance, as required by NHS Track & Trace, to save time and queuing when entering the Church.
There is no longer a requirement to leave a 1 or 2 metre distance between individuals or groups. However, we do ask that you maintain a safe social distance from other people, especially on entering and leaving the Sanctuary and the Church building.
The Church does operate a one-way system on entering and exiting the Church. Enter the Church building by the Main Door and you will be directed by the Duty Team on where to enter/exit the Sanctuary.
Hand sanitisers are available at the entrance and exit to the Church and, if possible, should still be used.
As face masks are still mandatory, all adults and children over 12 years old must wear these whilst in the Church premises including the halls which are used by various organisations.
Singing is now allowed in Church albeit, face masks must still be worn.
An offering plate will be placed at the entrance to the Sanctuary for those who wish to make an offering, as this no longer takes place during the service.
Toilet access is available. However this is restricted to the disabled toilet only.
At the end of the Service, please remain in your seat until you are directed to leave by one of the Duty Team.
In the near future, we are hoping to provide limited hospitality after the Church Service. However, we are currently looking for volunteers to assist with this.
Please note that, at present, there will continue to be an on-line service.
If you have any questions regarding coming back to Church, please do not hesitate to contact me.
