REOPENING OF ST LUKE’S
SUNDAY, 4 APRIL 2021
The Church will open for Sunday morning worship on Sunday, 4 April at 10:30 am. This will be a short reflective service lasting approximately 30 minutes.
The following rules must still be adhered to at all times:
The maximum number of people that the Sanctuary can accommodate with social distancing is 45. We have, therefore, introduced a booking system whereby you must call Michael Lang, Session Clerk on 01360 622580 (Home) or email: Michael.firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday of each week to let him know if you wish to attend. Due to the restricted numbers that can attend, if you decide you are unable to join the Sunday worship, please let him know as soon as possible, so that another member can attend in your place.
You should not attend if - you are unwell; showing symptoms of Covid-19; if you are isolating or living with someone who is isolating or who is unwell or if you are in the extremely vulnerable group, ie extremely high risk.
There should be no car sharing from another household.
As with the current guidance, masks must be worn at all times within the Church building and a one-way system will be in operation.
Members should enter through the main door via the Kirk Street Car Park and exit via back door to Kirk Street Car Park.
Hand Sanitisers will be available on entry and exit and must be used.
In addition, a contact and trace system will be in place and, as such, your contact details will be required on entering the Church.
An offering plate will be placed in the Hall of Fellowship, just outside the Sanctuary Doors. It would be helpful, therefore, if you could have your offering ready to put into the plate.
After registration, you will be shown to a designated seat and must remain there throughout the Service.
Although singing is not allowed during the Service, there may be music as part of the service. However, there will be no pew Bibles.
The pew cushions have been removed.
Toilet access has been restricted.
At the end of the Service, please remain in your seat until directed to leave by one of the Duty Team members.
As there will be no tea or coffee after the Service, Members are asked not to socialise in the Hall of Fellowship, but to go straight to the designated exit.
Please also do not congregate within the Church vicinity once you have left the buiding.
Please note that there will continue to be an on-line Service.
